little BIG Planet

Okay so we had a bunch of Wii games and PS3 games that we weren't ever playing. So we decided to trade them in. Best idea ever! We ended up getting like $130.00 in credit, so we got LITTLE BIG PLANET. We had been eyeing this for months, like before we even got married. We are so addicted to it. WE LOVE IT! I highly recommend it for anyone. It is funny, cute, and challenging all at the same time. How could you resist those cute little Sac Boys and Sac Girls. ;)
So Merry Early Christmas to us.

A Paper Nativity Christmas

So we moved to Idaho, were loving it. Since were just newlyweds we don't have much to decorate an apartment with, especally for Christmas. So my Mom and Sister sent us some old christmas decor to make our apartment Cheery.

My mom has this old Nativity Scene that she got forever ago, its made of paper. She was so thoughtful to send it to us. ;)

OUR TREE!!! We got gift cards for our wedding so we used 10 dollars at Target to buy our first Tree! we didn't have anything but lights on it till my mom sent us some ornaments and garland. Neil did an awesome job decorating it. These were the only decorations that i had. So our apartment was a little bit festive before!

So cute!

We started decorating our apartment with stuff that we got for our wedding. It is starting to feel like home! Our cute living room. We have quite a bit of room in here actually. Not a lot on the walls yet tho. Were still working on it.Our Kitchen. My mom calls it a walk-in-back-out kitchen. Not big but hey, less for me to clean right? :)Our bedroom/office. Its big enough for just two. ;) Neil wanted to pose in all the pictures. ;) Just kidding. So thats our little life in our little apartment. So from the New Carpenters....

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Pumpkin Carving... & The Best Costumes Ever!!

Well of course we had to carve a pumpkin for Halloween. But of course i am late on posting, because i am to busy trying to get married. :) Which is so much harder than people make it out to be. I will be so glad when all the decisions and planning is over. I need to just be with Neil and relax.

Carving a pumpkin together this year was fun. Neil was totally more into it than me tho. He hasn't carved one this intense before so he was having fun.But he did a really good job! I made him clean out all the guts and he must have been hungry cuz he just started to eat them up. Jk. It was so gross!

After it was cleaned out i made the design on it. It was one of those pumpkin book things so please, don't call me next year to draw on your pumpkin, there is only so much i can do. ;)

It turned out pretty good. Neil did an awesome job of carving it so he should get the credit. ;) Its suppose to be a Goblin I guess. As for our actually Halloween night, we didn't have any plans but still wanted to dress up for a bit at least. So we had been planning for a whole week on what we were going to be. And it paid off, cuz we had the best costumes. No really I am not kidding. They really were the best!

We were GLOW-IN-THE-DARK STICK PEOPLE!!! It was so fun. We had a good time. Of course they only worked at night, but was still fun. If you want to see Videos of us dancing in the dark then take a look at Kira's blog. They are pretty funny.

WEDDING COUNT DOWN!!! 16 DAYS!!!!!!

Theres something in the Air...

Its Fall. Not one of my favorite seasons, but definatly one that I look forward too. More so this year than i have in the past years, for a few reasons: It's been a long hot summer and the cooler weather is very refreshing. Normally I am in Idaho this time of year, and its very nice to take a break from school and spend more time with my family. And the best part of Fall this year is that i can now say, I GET MARRIED NEXT MONTH!!! Never did i ever dream that when i came home from school last April that I wouldn't be returning to school single. Neil and I are so very excited for this new adventure in our lives to start and are getting a little impatient waiting. But before we know it it will be here. We have so much to do within the next few weeks, which includes apartment hunting in Rexburg. We need a vacation from work and to be together so for this weekend trip we are exstatic about.

To keep with our Adventures, we recently took a trip to the Thanksgiving Point CornMaze!
We kinda got a little lost while we were in there and started cursing David Archuleta (the maze was in honor of him), But we eventually got out, thank goodness. It was a hot day and we felt like we were gonna die of thirst! While we were already up there we decided to enjoy some of the other things of Thanksgiving point. We both had never been there and just wanted to look around. We found this petting farm thing, and looked around, had a blast with the Goats! They have the weirdest eyes by the way.
Neil found a Clydesdale Beer horse and thought that was pretty cool, they are freakin huge, i had never seen one in person so it was awesome. After the petting zoo place, we decided we were not yet through with the wonders of the Thanksgiving Point. We went to the Dinosaur Museum that is there too. By far my favorite thing is Museums. We had a blast!! But of course it was closeing so we had to do it quick. So we are so going back again. There were just to many picture opportunities that we missed. Although we got some good ones. This one was my favorite. He is so cute. It was the perfect angle, and we are just dorks that way. ;) But we love each other. All in all, we just have fun, and can't wait till we can have fun being married. 6 weeks 2 days!!!

ADVENTURE DAY!!!

So me and Neil take adventures, it helps us pass the time till we get married and plus we are both like kids anyways. So what was our adventure today???..... THE HOGLE ZOO!!! ;) It was so fun, we both hadn't been there for quite awhile and just enjoyed spending the day together. There were lions, Tigers, and Bears, and Lamas, and Giraffes (to bad Geoff couldn't come) and all sorts of other animals. The elephants we by far our favorite. After that we decided that we hadn't had enough fun for the day so we stopped in at Kennecot Copper Mine of Utah. Apparently it is the biggest open copper mine in the world!!! And it is visible from SPACE!! It was fun.
Yeah, like i said, were still a couple of kids
Today was kinda rainy so both places weren't even busy, we felt like we had the zoo to ourselves.

We just enjoy spending time with each other, which is good since were totally going to be husband and wife. ;) Which we can't wait for!!!! 10 Weeks!!! and believe me we are counting down!!

A little taste of Life

Okay so now that i am engaged, it is hard as ever to get anything productive done. I work till around 6 everyday then am with Neil till about 11:30 each night. In between there we do nothing but relax and be with each other. Laundry is building up, e-mails are gone unread, etc.
However I love this....

Neil is such a cutie, he has just barely gotten to the point that he will just walk into our house now. He used to just wait for me to answer the door, so cute. He even talks back to my parents now (in a very sarcastic tone tho, and sends my mom into histerics). My family just loves him and i can't blame them. Whats not to love?! ;)

As for me, i love his family. He has two very cute sisters that are always so helpful and fun to see. His brother is just like him, hilarious with everything that comes out of his mouth. And of course his cute little Nephew, how can anyone resist him. ;)

I am just the luckiest girl. I couldn't ask for anyone that loves me more and treats me like he does, which is good!!!... because i just scheduled the temple and can't get out of it now. :) JK

This weekend we have a family reunion, with everyone in my dads family that can move. Crap. He is kinda nervous, but i just told him that everyone was crazy anyways. I love them tho. You have to, so I am hoping that they will love him too.

One more thing.... Dentist appointment on Monday. :( I hate it.

Here is Neil's families cute blog, his older sister Melissa does it. She is dang good too!!

Wow oh wow

Holy cow, can my summer be any busier! I have been on the go since i got home, i love it, but man, i feel like i don't have time to ever relax. I really am having a good time being busy tho, my internship at Red Mountain Wholesale is going great. I couldn't have asked for a better job or better people to work with. I was orginally making a meager $6.55, but i just recently got a raise!!!! For an intern, $8.00 an hour is quite a bit, so i am so blessed. My boss's there have made me feel so comfortable, I will be there till the end of the summer when i go back to Idaho. They have also told me I am welcome back after i complete school and such. It's a way nice feeling to know your going to have a job after graduation.

Summer is a time for adventures. And that is exactly what i have been doing. And i found someone to have my adventures with, and his name is the Neilster (or some call him Neil). ;) Here is a few pictures of our recent adventures together. Today we even went boating, i didn't get pictures, but it felt so good, the hottest day of the year so far, and we were floating out on the lake. The water temp was perfect.

Hope everyone is doing great, i will try to get some comments out to you guys soon, miss you all!!!

Change in job :)

Okay so I was doing an internship at Olson's Greenhouse in Salem. Umm... yeah, that didn't work out. Soooooooooooo... Now I am doing an internship at Red Mountain Wholesale!! And i love it. I couldn't ask for a better job. I basically pull orders, pack orders, and deliver them to all the florists in Utah that order from us. Some people may not love being in a 40 degree cooler most of the day, but i love it. ;)
I am loving being home this summer. I was originally suppose to do an internship in Tennessee this summer, but had this feeling like i was just suppose to come home. Glad I listened to my feelings, i am dating one of the most amazing guys ever. ;) and were having a blast. I couldn't be more happy then right now.

Home for the SUMMER!

Yay! School is finally over for me till mid September. Thank goodness. Lets just hope that I pass all my classes. I am really only worried about one of them. It is a Soils class. I know what your thinking, what is there to learn about soil? Well apparently more then i thought, it's all boring too. Seriously. So just all pray that I pass that one.

As far as a summer job, I think I got a job/internship at Olsen's Greenhouse here in Spanish Fork. It will be pretty amazing. I will get to learn more about the Greenhouse Horticulture business then i ever thought possible. It will sure be an adventure. And maybe i will even get a tan out of it. ;)

I have recently found a new band that i love, they are called Secondhand Serenade. Love them!! My favorite song of them is Fall For You. It's so cute!! I am going to try to put music on here, but just can't figure it out yet.

Were going camping tomorrow!! Yay for Goblin Valley!! I really need to get a tan, Idaho has made me pale and gross, serious. I will take pictures for you all. ;)

Back to Reality

Whoa! So much has happened!! The wedding show went well. I had a good time doing it, but am so glad that it is over!!! This is my friend Chloe, she played our bride, she isn't actually married yet but will be getting married soon. She was perfect for our room though. As you can see our room was tropical, and warm!! I loved going to hide in there during the show when someone was looking for me. ;) After like 6 days of setting it up and such, it took us about 45 minutes to tear it down. Feels like such a waste, but it was worth it. I enjoyed working with all the girls.

I just recently (as in like 5 hours ago) got home from a week long trip to St. George, Las Vegas, and California!! It was so long and so packed with things to do. There was 8 girls from the Horticulture department that went. We were headed to the LA flower district (market) and also to some wholesalers and growers. We decided to hit a few other things on the way, such as DisneyLand and Hearst's Castle. All of which did have some educational value to them. ;) It was my first time to DisneyLand and I literally ran around like a 5 year old. But I had a wonderful time. After of 14 hours, I was kinda tired. My feet had blisters and I felt as though I was still moving after I got back to the Hotel. All worth it for the memories.
As for now, I just need to pass a few finals, finish some homework, clean my apartment, and pack up to move home for the summer. YAY!!! I am so completely excited for this. Seriously.

Cause of Death

The Wedding show is this weekend... just kill me now. The stress has already taken me over. So Wednesday is the day I will be falling off of the face of the earth. See you all next week.

New Picture:New Music

It was time for a new self portrait. I love my old one, but a new one was needed. This one was hard to take but fun to edit. Yes my eyes are really green, just not that bright. I really didn't add any color to the photo, just enhanced the color that showed up. I love it.

I am in the mood to have new music. I am getting bored with what I have. I love country, but have a new love for alternative and indie. If anyone has any suggestions let me know!!

New Design!

So I worked at the BYU-Idaho Floral Shop over the Valentines Holiday. All the male faculty came in, seriously. There were tons of them. I was only there for a few hours, but i helped so many people, it was crazy.

Anyway, one of the teachers that i work for in the Theatre department came in, he needed flowers for his wife and three daughters. Lets just say that he spent over $100 dollars. Half of that was on his wife. He wanted me to design the arrangement for his wife, I was excited! He said no roses, wanted something that would make him look good and wanted it different. So here is what I did....

This was the first time I had worked with Tropicals so I was freaking out. I was hoping that he didn't object to them. It was so fun though! He told me his wife loved them!! Thank goodness, I didn't want to be responsible for a bad Valentines day.

52 days left!! Yay! I am also looking forward to the Horticulture Departments California Trip! We are going to DisneyLand! Yay! I have never been, so I am sure I will be like a 5 year old running around. Then the next day I will be passed out all day from the excitement. Seriously, i am pysched.

The long presidents day weekend was not long enough. I want to go back to Utah! Since being back all my roommates are acting weird. Except Kelli. She is my sanity.

Another exciting thing, the Writers Strike is over!!! Finally! I have gone to many months with out Grey's Anatomy. I am having withdrawls. I need it back!!

GNATS!!!

So I am a Horticulture major right? Yes, well sometimes I like it and others I don't. Right now is one of the times that I hate it. I have tropical house plants in my room. Needless to say they are all infected with Gnats! Ya know, the tiny fly like insects that swarm your face while riding your bike down the street, or while taking a nice summer's evening walk. They are everywhere.
Last night I attempted to look up home remedies for how to get rid of them. The one that seemed to be the most popular involved Apple Cider Vinegar, Fly paper, and Sand. We will see how it works. Hopefully it does cuz they are driving me crazy. They are attracted to the light of my computer screen as we speak. I had to scrap the top layer of soil off of the pots to get some of the larvae out. It was disgusting. Then I replaced it with a layer of sand, apparently they can't get through it.
I will keep you updated on the situation. Pray that it gets better, seriously. I don't like waking up in the middle of the night to one buzzing in my ear. I like my sleep to much. Thank you all for the support in reading this. ;)

Utah Celebrity!!

So this weekend was a blast! Me and my sister had a pretty good time. We stuffed ourselves full at Craigo's yesterday!! Holy cow, I have never been that full! We had lunch with our good friend, she is shorter then me and man she can pack it away! I think she had more to eat then I did. ;) It was so fun though. On Friday we went to the Temple Cultral Celebration. That was amazing. I was on the verge of tears the entire time. It was a story of how Eastern Idaho became settled and how we got to where we are today.

Saturday night me and Kira decided to go take pictures of the Rexburg Temple all lit up at night.

It is so Beautiful!! I don't think the picture does it justice. You have to actually be there. Anyway while we were walking around we saw a KSL Channel 5 news van pull up. Now being from Utah this was a big deal to us. It is our local News station. We got pretty excited and decided we wanted pictures in front of it. We asked the Camera man that got out of it if he would mind taking our pictures. He just laughed as we explained we were from Utah and Loved KSL.

(kinda blurry sorry!)

We started talking to him and asking him how the drive was, how he liked the cultral celebration, and the freezing weather. We chatted for quite sometime then asked him who was covering the story. (Now Kira is studying to be a journalist, so this was a pretty big deal to her, just fun for me) He told us that the Religion Specialist Carole Mikita was covering it. We flipped out!!! Carole Mikita!!! Again he just laughed at us and then said she was just grabbing a bite to eat and should be here at any time. She pulled up a few minutes later and came running over to us and gave us huge hugs!! We got to talk to her for about five minutes then she let us take pictures with her!!

(Kira, Carole Mikita!!!, and ME!)

She was the sweetest lady! So very nice, and loved being there in Rexburg to see the Temple. She is even more pretty in person! We have watched her on the news since we were little kids. After we met her we immediatly called our parents, they were of course jealous! Anyway that was our fun adventure this weekend. ;)

5 Feet

We officially now have 5 feet of snow now. Eww. I am getting so sick of this. I have never pushed as many cars in my life as I have this semester. I am so glad that I have a four wheel drive truck. Yesterday i almost lost all my fingers from moderate frostbite (they have recovered), I had to clean like two feet of snow off of my automobile. Seriously, there is something wrong with all this snow. I hate it.

Kira's coming tomorrow! Yay! Montana called last night too. But I fell asleep while talking to him. Oops! He was sweet about it though. ;)
  63 days.

65 DAYS LEFT (written during devotional & soils lab)

It's a bad week. Bad day too. I had no one to sit with at devotional. Seems like something that is insignificant, but still lonely. I am sittin ginbetween two couples (in whom I don't know) that are all over each other. Make me even more depressed. I was going to get up and walk out, but decided against it.
My good friend is getting to go through the temple today. She is getting married on Thursday, Bountiful temple. I am happy for her, but sad at the same time. I saw her yesterday in her wedding dress while she was taking her bridals, she looked so beautiful! She was my first friend here, she is younger then me too. Just crazy that she is getting married already.
I am counting down to the end of the semester. 65 days. I was originally going to go on an internship to Nashville, TN this summer. I have been having a hard time getting a hold of people to get things set up. It just hasn't felt right. So now I am moving back home for the summer. I am pretty excited abot it. I love being home with my family. My mom especially. She is excited to have me back home as well. I am just excited for the warm weather. This four feet of snow in Idaho is just killing me. I hate it. I think I have seasonal depression. I need sun and green plants. My life would be much happier with it.
As always I miss my dog too. My family might hate her, but she means a lot to me. It's a comfort factor, at least something other than my family loves me. There is a song by Carrie Underwood called "The more boys I meet, the more I love my dog". SO true for me.
I hate dating. It's hard here. I have been talking to a friend on the phone quite a bit. He is from Montana and goes to Montana State. We were set up on a date by mutual friends over the long weekend in January. We went out twice and I had a really good time! He calls almost every night and we talk for two hours sometimes. What does this mean?! He is fun to talk to and I enjoy it, but I just want to knwo if there is "reasoning" behind it.
65 days couldn't seem longer at the moment. I am thinking of working for the Post Office this summer. Ya know delivering mail. I think it would be one of the funnest jobs in the world! Think about it: you get to be outside all day everyday, paid holidays, every sunday off... what better job is there for a mormon!! My mom thinks I culd get some good money out of it. My sister thinks otherwise. I think I will go for it. Seems like it would be fun and easy.
Soils class and lab suck. Really what kind of things can you say about soil for two hours! Plus there is this girl in both my class and lab that drives me absolutely insane! She is one of those people that will make up lies to get attention from you, or tell you things you could give a crap about. She is in the same major as me as well, so naturally al the planets alined and put her in all my classes. Lame. This semester is turing out to be a blast.
On a lighter subject, any girl out there in need of a good chick flic has got to go see 27 Dresses or P. S. I Love You. They are both amazing! I will be paying more money to see them again in theaters.
My sister is coming this weekend, Yay! I need contact with the world outside of Idaho. She is coming just in time too. The temple dedication is also this weekend too. Lots to look forward to.
